Testing and Service Department

The Syracuse Merit Service Department provides testing and maintenance services throughout central and northern New York State and along the eastern seaboard. Technicians are trained and experienced in the service of electrical substations, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, protective relays, and controls for all voltages up to 345 KV.  We have invested in the latest technology in computer-controlled test equipment.  In addition, our technicians use IBM compatible PCs to generate test reports in the field.  This enables us to furnish you with test documentation in a timely manner.  In 2005, The Syracuse Merit Service Department acquired the TEGG® Service franchise, providing exclusive TEGG® Service to Central New York, joining the O’Connell TEGG®  franchise of the Greater Rochester NY area.
